Surely what I'm about to suggest is blasphemy at its best in the world of fashion, but your wallet will love you...sooo...let's make the "fashionista's cringe a little, shall we?
i think we shall.
Raise your hand if you have ever heard of the Equipment blouse?
cute, right? They come in all different colors, prints, etc. Great fit, super comfortable, only $208.
whattttt?
yes. I said $208.
your checkbook just said ouch.
I have an Equipment blouse and I love it, but seriously every time I wear it, I sort of get mad at myself for spending so much on it...in my defense, it was purchased after mucho pinots in my belly. I could not be stopped. Not only was it expensive, but lets go ahead and add the fact that it is a dirt magnet. If you stand within a 5 mile radius of dirt, it gets a spot.
I think the dirt and all local dry cleaners have some sort of business deal with each other. I literally have it cleaned at least once a week.
anyways.
I love the blouse and want it in every color possible, but had to find a cheaper alternative. Thank God for Victoria's Secret.
These are all super cute variations and they are all under $65 (on sale right now).
Probably all made in the same factory in China.
sidenote. it kills me when I spend a lot of money on apparel (i.e. my equipment blouse) only to look a the tag a see it was made in China or some random country like Sri Lanka. I swear there is a blouse making factory in Asia somewhere that makes the same blouse for like 20 different companies that are all sold for different prices.
So there you go. Go save yo self some $$$.
xoxoxooo.

I love this! Good to know that at VS it's much cheaper.
I have wanted a shirt like this for awhile but never understood why the heck they were so freaking expensive. I totally agree - they are all made in the same factories in China. Similar to the J.Crew turquoise bubble necklace for $150 that sells on eBay for $14.50. Exact same necklace. It's crazy! Thanks for sharing. I'll have to head on over to VS and check out what they've got!
I have NEVER spent that much on a shirt.
not that I can remember.
boots? sure. jeans? maybe once or twice. but a shirt?!
not once.
you did?! how are you still married??? ;)
ps I would never wear a button up shirt like that :)
but I still love you.
Dear god! $208?! Good for you mama. We all need a tiny splurge sometimes ;) I LOVE vs!!! Shop there all the time. It took me forever to find sizes appropriate for my body. My boobs are so big and surprisingly enough vs's clothes run small in the boob area. Go figure!
I REFUSE to spend full price on anything. I already have too many clothes, so now I am buying out of desire. Desire DNE Full price! Those are super cute, by the way! I got a few from Express years ago. Still rock 'em, so they are an investment!
These are so cute! I love this post. I hate spending a lot of money on clothes too, even tho I. Do sometimes! Eek! Haha!
I'm having a neon accessories giveaway on my blog, def check it out!
Those blouses were nice..
I love this! I bought a Michael Kors handbag for myself for Christmas. I was going to get a dark color but the cream was so pretty. Part of me knew that it was stupid to get cream but I just loved it! I took it to my jazzercise class (it isn't for old ladies, much to most people's dismay) and set it against the wall far from anyone. What do you know some lady came over and stood on it?! WHAT? Hello, that is why I moved it! Grrr...

I would never ever ever in a million years spend 208$ on a shirt, thats just ridiculous, if you can afford shit like that you can afford 208$ a month towards your favorite charity, just silly. but other then the expensive shirt i love your blog and i will be following :)

So Pretty , beautiful dress. love it.
parfum pas cher
This is why I know to avoid the Savvy and Individualist departments at work... Poor, single 24 yr olds just can't afford 200 dollar shirts, but boy do they ( I ... Clearly I mean I) want them.
Oh jeez to the comment above let her enjoy the darn shirt!! I too have spent that much on an amazing blush Joie silk shirt and have no regrets if it makes you look and feel good then why not? We mamas need these little luxuries! Thanks for the VS alternative!
